They are deluded. They won't get it. Be glad there's the internet. It lets people like you know that you are not the only one. Plus you can say they are fucking deluded and it's OK. Have another Keystone Ice.

Wife doesn't get it. Theist Friends don't get it. Family doesn't get it. Tired of arguing. Tired of the fucking innuendos about burning in hell. Since when is "I don't believe" an attack on anyone's intelligence? I'm just frustrated and pissed off.…

About Me
I'm a computer programmer, currently living in Central Illinois with my wife and two dogs. I'm 46 years old. Married for 26 years. Grew up in a Baptist home in a small Southern Missouri town. I gave up on Christianity in my mid-twenties when I started thinking trying to make sense of it all. It took about 20 years to make the transition to where I am now. Deism, Paganism, Buddhism, New-age... I even went through the "What the Bleep do We Know?" stage of "woo-woo-ism" before finally accepting that there was no omnipotent being out there watching over me. I'm happier now than I've ever been.

Bush, Gog and Magog. WTF?

I knew that G. W. Bush was big on religion, but took most of what he said about it as rhetoric. Apparently, however, this guy actually was fanatical in his beliefs.

thanks Mike. The fishing trip will consist of walking down to the Finley River and bellyboating for small mouth. But what a great piece of news. I'll have my dad for a while longer and he won't go in the pain and suffering that I feared for him and that he doesn't deserve.

Thanks for replying. It means a lot.

From the article Tommy cited. "However, religious commentators have criticized Hawking's theorizing, saying he can never hope to explain what is essentially unexplainable." Well doesn't that kind of invalidate their own "god" theory then? ;p

Anybody else read it? I love the basic premise, and being an atheist means I can appreciate the mythology and not get bent out of shape about the multiple deities.

Wyoming is better than the southeast, from what I've seen. It's still a solid red state, though. My big point was that there are no cities. The closest it has are Cheyenne and Casper, each of which are around 50,000 people. The entire state barely…
