You're right though, it does keep you active and free from boredom.
That's a good thing.
I've been thinking of starting something up again at the beginning of the year, but I'm not positive yet...big commitment!
What kind of martial arts are you into?
I was in Tae Kwon Do for a few years and now I do Tai Chi for fun everyday. Cool stuff.
