Profile Information

About Me
I'm a Massachusetts native. I was raised without religion, but have long been fascinated with it and began studying it during adolescence. As a result of my studies and my own experiences, I came to believe that it was highly unlikely that God exists. If a superme being does exist, it is most certainly nothing like any religion has ever conceived. I personally am influenced by the philosophies of Anton LaVey, Ayn Rand, and Friedrich Nietzsche.

My interests include reading, music, audio, films, and video games. My favorite authors include (in no particular order) Ayn Rand, Friedrich Nietzsche, Anton LaVey, George Orwell, H.G. Wells, Philip K. Dick, Joseph Heller, Ray Bradbury, William Shakespeare, Lord Byron, and William Blake. In my musical tastes I am partial to classical composers such as Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaicovsky, Bach, and Wagner among others. My favorite bands include Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, VNV Nation, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Combichrist among others.

Hi Maya, and welcome to this friendly meeting place where freethinking atheists recognise that gods are phoney and religion is a fraud used to control people;
and how tragic and inexcusable it is that women and minorities have been oppressed these last two thousand years and more.

Terry Meaden
founder of the busy group "ORIGINS: Universe, Life, Earth, Humans, Religion, Evolution, Darwin..." with its 270 discussion topics. We invite you to join us.
