"hey, here's a thought. why dont you do some homework before going off on your rant.
sure 122501 is a prime number - but big deal. the 1000th prime number is 7919 - so approx 1 in 8 of the first 8000 numbers is prime. odds of 1 in 8 aint that…"
Amazing that an individual can be lost and confused on July 15 and then by July 24 have it totally sorted!
try not to sweat it Felch - this chick is clearly loopy and in a huge rush to believe something...anything...

"you know these guys actually do believe that the world is full of evil and sin and these kids need saving.
I went to my wife's church at Xmas as my 2 kids were in a Xmas performance, at which the youth ministry updated everyone with their…"
Reading about your brother moved me. my dad was recently diagnosed with liver cancer and while his treatments are having some effect, there is no prospect of a cure. If treatments have no effect doc's are saying a number of months,…"
I get a sense of hopelessness in your post, your plea "whats the good of it?" sounds a bit sad and lost (i hope I'm wrong).

Nice work with the loopy christian guy. But as Dawkins posited, (and I paraphrase) "it is not possible to be both educated and sane, and still hold religious beliefs".
Methinks your "RG" is neither educated nor sane.
"I'm still trying to figure out the right time to tell my kids that there is no god. They are only 4 and 2, but are both regulars at Church given my wife's very strong Christian faith. I'm worried that if I lift the veil on god,…"
Hey Matthew! There's a group of us from the Sunny Coast champing at the bit to go to that conference - all of us members of AN. I think there's about 9 of us planning to go at this stage. There will be more publicity as the planning progresses. I'll post updates on the Aussie Group page as they're available. There's a place marker for the convention at: http://atheistconvention.org.au/
but no content posted there as yet - but check it from time to time. I think the blurb is going up soon.
Keep in touch - if you go, we'll be sure to catch up for dinner or, at least a drink - or three. ;-)
