"I'm sure that you will get a lot of deep, thoughtful, almost heroic answers to this question. This won't be one of those. I'm afraid to die. Not a crippling, "I'm never leaving the house" kind of fear, but fear…"

Atheist Meetings

I am interested in starting a group for atheists to meet approximately twice a month. In the beginning, I envision this as being a sort of support group. It's no secret that we, as atheists, are the most hated group of people in America, and I feel like it could be helpful to many of us to be able to talk to like minded individuals who share our experiences. My long term goal for this is to eventually be a more politically motivated group, however. I am tired of being marginalized by my…See More

"The nice thing about being an atheist is that you don't need to ask other atheists how "we" feel about anything. That being said, I assume that you were just being silly, and I am delighted that we are making progress as a nation."

Hello. I am new.

I don't often talk about my childhood with people. One of the reasons for that is my conflicted feelings about the subject. When I first try to think about it I get overwhelming feelings of nostalgia. Whether it was riding my bike to the construction zone and playing on the massive mounds of dirt, or just sitting in front of the television playing Super Mario Bros., there is a lot that I can smile about. However, there are aspects of it that I seem to forget (although that probably isn't a bad…See More

Hi
Welcome to Atheist Nexus with its thousands of good friends.

A group you may like is “ORIGINS” (Origins: Universe, Life, Humans, Evolution, Religion..... ) with its 120 discussions and numerous video films.

How to feel good. One discussion (over 65 posts) is "Proud to be Atheist". There's much to be proud and feel good about because atheists and humanists hold the intellectual high ground that is far removed from the superstitious god believers who are slaves to a controlling clergy and their imaginary beings.
