About Me
A few random quotes:

"If reason had any part in religion, what then would become of faith?"

"A theologian is like a blind man in a dark room searching for a black cat which isn't there - and finding it!"

"Consider the ignorance of the average fundamentalist. Then realize that by definition fully half of them must be even dumber than that."

"Christian Fundamentalism: The doctrine that there is an absolutely powerful, infinitely knowledgeable, universe spanning entity that is deeply and personally concerned about my sex life."

"Like all religions, the Holy Religion of the Invisible Pink Unicorn is based upon both Logic and Faith. We have Faith that She is Pink; and we Logically know that She is Invisible, because we can't see Her."

Star Trek

Posted on May 8, 2009 at 11:15pm 6 Comments

WOW! I just got home from the theater, where I saw the new Star Trek movie in Imax. I really don't have words enough to describe the awesomeness of it!

What a ride! From the beginning to the end, there were so few slow parts it's a really good idea to skip the drink during the movie. You don't want to be getting up to run to the loo, because you WILL miss something.

This is THE BEST movie I've seen in a very long time!

Granted, I am a Star Trek fan from way… Continue

Some would label atheism a thought crime

I've seen a few posts on other sites, etc. giving us images, and descriptions of douchebags... But this article was written by the epitome of the word.

11 Things The Bible Bans, But You Do Anyway

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Yesterday, I found myself in a discussion about the anti-abortion people. The reason: It's just incomprehensible to us that people get so zealous about that issue that they'll go as far as to murder doctors who perform abortions and bomb abortion clinics.

The conversation then took its natural turn to selective, self-serving interpretations of the Bible... finding a few verses that you can use… Continue

Atheists banned from public service in 5 states - WTF!

This is ludicrous! The comments on the website were apt.: What if an atheist witnesses a murder? Oh, gee, sorry, can't testify!

Taking yourself to the Grand Canyon? Wow, good for you! I love your 'Just do it' attitude. One of my best, youngest memories is of a raft trip down the Colorado River when I was eight years old. I still remember much of it because it was so amazing.

Yes! Thank goodness. What an intense experience waiting for those results! A good experience, actually. Really makes you think and take stock and gain perspective.

Any news with you?
