Writer / Gadfly for Social Change

Hello! I am a lifelong writer, editor, publisher, and resident of the Pacific Northwest. Raised Baptist but slowly migrated toward Zen, Buddhism, pantheism, humanism, and, finally, atheism. During a 2-year stint in Los Angeles, I was active with CFI-West, volunteering and attending various events and lectures. Then, after a move to Seattle, I decided it was time to be more "out" about my beliefs. Last May, I started a Meetup Group called "Heathens Do It Better" - which now has almost 90 members. I'm also involved with Seattle Atheists and hope to work toward creating a speakers' bureau for the group. Love Basenjis and racquetball.

My Bachelors degree is in Entertainment Industry Management/Commercial Music. I used the degree for about six months to work in a music publishing office in nashville. After that, i realized that a.) i hated the monotony and boredom i had while working there and felt that the job didn't really do anything meaningful for me and b.) had decided to tour full time in a band, which i've done since 03 to present. I'm currently thinking of going back to school to do environmental law though and getting out of touring and music.

I currently live in seattle in the wallingford district.
