wow, you think houston is similar to los angeles? i've never heard that before. i've been to l.a. and i thought it was pretty cool. never been to houston, but heard it was boring. i guess everything is cool when you're in school during it though. possibly.

Ohhhhhh.  Yeah, I can see the problem.  Meh.  Freaking laws of supply and demand.

 

That's always a plus, with your peers.  I've encountered a lot of the same.  The more educated, more intelligent ones tend to be highly non-religious.  Most of the clients (pretty much every one of the thousands of employees, besides us) at my company are religious fruitloops, but the I.T. Department is well over half atheistic.

I've only heard two of the employees say anything positive about religion, and they immediately got dog-piled on by everyone else within earshot.  They're the sort who can't put up anything more coherent than a weak, poorly-structured Pascal.

There's no religious discrimination of any sort, but any time the conversation wanders in that direction, it goes badly for them.  It's one of those offices with two faces: how we act when the clients are around, and how we act at every other time of the day.

hey lizz, thx for the add. so how far is the part of TX you're in from Dallas? i hear dallas is kinda cool and houston is kinda lame. i've only been around fort worth before though, and that was years ago.

What else possessed you to go there?  I can't imagine a greater possible gap than that between the two states in question.

Just read your "About Me";--------that pretty much makes two of us. Having been born in Hollywood and living in L.A. all my life until 2000, this place (i.e., Arlington, Tx) just aint the same. I miss my heathen homeland, too.
