Hi, I'm Zhi. I spent close to 20 years in the U.S. working as an artist and social worker, but returned ten years ago to reside permanently in Hong Kong. After renouncing my Christian beliefs over a decade ago, and educating myself on evolution and atheism, I have decided that it is time to take action, rather then sit on the sidelines and continue to get run over by religious extremists. I am starting "Hong Kong Atheists" in hope that this group can act as a catalyst to begin a serious conversation in Hong Kong (and if feasible, in Mainland China as well) about how religious dogma affects us each day. I would like to invite you to be part of this group, to begin discussing, organizing, and carrying out action that could bring about positive changes to this part of the world, where reason will be preferred over superstition. Hope you can join me.
