The Folks are at a Convention this weekend

My mother and step-father are at the JW convention... she says she can't sit through three days of the convention any longer, even though she feels guilty about it. At 70 years old, I can certainly hope perfection is no longer required. However, it doesn't seem to be the case.

Just read up about your childhood and your estranged (JW) mother, its a moving story; I'm quite speechless and can only hope that things are getting better for you now.

It's stories such as yours that really fuel my antipathy for religion. I've never suffered as you have yet I blaze with anger at the way religions quite literally tear families asunder.

I wish you all the best. :-)

Here's a friendly Hi to Leigh Knight in Texas

We are pleased to welcome you here among the sensible, rational people of this world.

This is a fantastic meeting place with its 14,500 bright people like you who recognise religion for the superstition and brainwashing fraud that it is---
and that God and gods are nothing but fictions in people's heads.

Terry Meaden
originator of the busy lively discussion group
"ORIGINS: Universe, Life, Earth, Humankind, Fossils, Religion, Evolution, Darwin..." with its 240 discussion topics.

We invite you to come and see, and to make good new friends.
