About Me
I came out of the proverbial closet and gave up on religion about 3 years ago. Life now is much sweeter. I'm a former pentecostal preacher who got tired of the hypocrisy, lies, offerings and unintelligent arguments for theism.

Thanks for the friend invite.  You're a former preacher?  We definitely need to chit and chat some time!  I would love to hear about your journey

Thanks for friending me.  As I stated in the news item thread, I admire and respect people who have taken the journey from faith to freethought, and for former clergy it's got to be especially hard.  Hopefully by connecting to people here and locally you can discover that you are not alone in this process, if you ahve not learned that already.  We are all going through a journey in life, and it's the only one we have.

Peace

A belated welcome L. Hunter.  I imagine that as a former preacher you have been on a long and difficult journey.  The moderator of this site is also a former preacher.  I am curious about whether you have met others - there seem to be lots.  Dan Barker is another one.

Best Wishes

Daniel

Thanx and i look forward to adding any comments and insights to help people along their journey. It was a painful journey to escape from the prison of my own mind and see life for what it is.

Well done to make the difficult escape. You probably have a very good story you could tell us one day.
Welcome to this splendid site and its bright people like you who can now recognise religion for what it is---a giant fraud, and gods mere fictions inside the heads of unknowing believers.

"ORIGINS: Universe, Life, Earth, Humankind, Fossils, Religion, Evolution, Darwin..." with its 240 discussion topics.

We invite you to come and see, and to make good new friends.
