Greetings, Laurie! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus lately. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.
Ah well, it wasn't a time of much availability for me, either. I did manage to get my car mostly working, though I also found a coolant leak so it won't be making any long distance trips until I can sort that out!
I also had to go in the sea again, which ate a day or so. Anyway if you do come back in June I should still be around Southampton, and could well say hello!
With regard to last weeks events..... phew. Looks like you all dodged a bullet there.
As for blogs/memes, I've got a bit behind with my internet, and I need to find time to catch up with it all, but I should be able to get that done soon!
I'm not going anywhere for the next couple of weeks, I've got jury service for two weeks and my car is quite ill and I'm having trouble tracking down the cause of the infection. It's been acting up for a while and I was living with it, but now I've decided to sort it out once and for all, but everything I do seems to make it worse or at very least have no beneficial effect :-(
Anyway, it you happen to be in the Southampton area or if I get the car running properly... well then we might be able to sort something out! Let me know what you're up to.
The break-in was pretty annoying, luckily it was just the sheds, and luckily I keep all of my diving equipment in the house. Still, I lost my mountain bike, which the insurance company refuse to cover under student possessions. It also seems like they're trying to wriggle out of paying out anything to my housemate (he lost a lot more stuff) on the grounds that their policy doesn't cover garages/sheds. Arggg.
Anyway, better dash, the Atheist Society is showing the Life of Brian tonight and since my car's not running I'm going to have to walk there in the rain.
In Australia the name Laurence and its diminutive Laurie is fairly common and is confined almost exclusively to males. Females usually take Lauren or Laura. However, I understand that globally Laurie is a male or female name.
