Greetings, Laura! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus lately. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.

Re: Daytime Events... maybe outings to museums? A group visit to the Titanic exhibition, for example? Having someone with expertise on relevant science/technology would be a big plus, but that might be easier to achieve with other museum outings. Maybe a visit to a brewery with an expert on the science of fermentation? :-)
I'm a reluctant morning person... I could easily stay up late, but I find it easier to get writing done in the morning. The house is quiet, the neighborhood is quiet... and maybe I can get a bit done before I have to leave for work.
Tigger does pretty well with his shots. He sits quietly and still until it's over, not fighting or crying. If he were any better, he'd be giving his shots to himself...
I came across the site for SCS the other day, didn't realize they had a group on here as well, it looks pretty promising, maybe will try to make the Drinking Skeptically at the end of this month if I can.

I've thought about attending SCS, but the timing is tough. We have a diabetic cat who has to get an insulin shot at 7:30PM. After the drive, finding a parking spot, and getting there... it would be at least 8:30, maybe close to 9PM. There are a lot of evening events that I have to pass on.

I guess...haha
Isn't this a private community?
Who would come here to find me?
My 1nt4rw3b speak is horrible, but if it makes you feel any better, I built the computer that I'm using to type this. We both are equally as geektastic.
I feel like an idiot for not knowing what "IRL" stands for, but I don't believe that I know you at all. I know you're a part of the Drinking Skeptically get-together group, and I think thats how you found me.
It never hurts to make new friends!
PS. Do you have a job in Pittsburgh? If so, is your company looking for a photographer? Let me know if you can help!

If so, I'm honored.
