Jesus the fireman

I love parables. Here's one I thought of.  There came a knock at my door. I opened it to find a mid-eastern man on my porch. "Good day" he said, "I've got great news for you.""Do tell" I said, "I could use some good news.""I am the world's greatest fireman, and I'm here to save you from certain death.""Ok, I'm intrigued" I said, "Tell me about this deal.'"Simple" he says, "you just pay me and  dad weekly, help out at the firehouse, tell everyone you know about the great fireman, and in…See More

Hi gang. I've nosed around and read a lot and now I hope you can help me learn the "inside" stuff. Is there a way to just view content added since my last visit? How do I connect with subgroups? I played in bands for 25 years and I'm a lifelong diabetic so I'd like to connect to members with those interests among others. Thanks in advance. I'm an old fart and learning new software from the ground up strains my brain, or what's left.See More

Here's a friendly Hi to Larry Melton in Charlotte, NC

We are pleased to welcome you here among the sensible, rational people of this world.

This is a fantastic meeting place with its 14,500 bright people like you who recognise religion for the superstition and brainwashing fraud that it is---
and that God and gods are nothing but fictions wasting space in people's heads.
Yes, as you say, "there is no god".

Terry Meaden
originator of the busy lively discussion group
"ORIGINS: Universe, Life, Earth, Humankind, Fossils, Religion, Evolution, Darwin..." with its 240 discussion topics.

We invite you to come and see, and to make good new friends.
