Atheists in America have been made to feel unwanted for many years and it hasn't gotten any better. As a result, many atheists still feel they need to stay in the closet.

As you probably already know a number of atheist and secular humanist groups have bought advertising space on billboards and buses in response to this trend.

I'm really sick of hearing people equate acceptance of evolution with atheism. It annoys me greatly when people insist this is an atheist country (I know, WTF?) because evolution is taught about in public schools.
