When I first arrived in the U.S. my first cultural impression was that of what I had seen through my teachers. There were two words that defined this impression. Humanity and Reality. There were many people from all sorts of backgrounds and as I far as I could tell we were all being treated just as equal. My earliest childhood memories are when I was five or six years old, in our beautiful village just outside the city of Mahabad in western Iran. My friends and I were playing tag in our front yard.
