South Florida Regional Director for American Atheists.
I'm a professional Firefighter/Paramedic and have worked for the same Dept. for 21 years. Before then, I was a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT with a 3 year gap for the military as a Field Medic.
I would say I was never really a theist, I attended churches and bible studies trying to fit in. I couldn't force myself to accept it. I realized I was atheist about age 20, before then "I just didn't believe it".
About 5 years ago, I joined a meet-up and met 4 others. In 2 years there where 100 signed up and 6-10 people would meet most weeks. Today, we have 300+, 4 locations with events throughout the week. sponsor public education events, beach picnics, winter campfires and so on.

We have weekly social meetings throughout South Florida
George... unfortunately nine of his videos are interesting. At least shawn tried to make an argument, not very good ones, but he did try to have a point. They are both tools.

Why do I fight ? I fight for those that hate me. Because they are too weak to fight for themselves. They have the strength to hate, but not to fight. 1 in a 1000 gets over their hate. That is good enough for me.
