You asked

If anyone could kindly tell me how to get to my comments on my profile without having to go through my email,...

I'm not clear on what you're asking. When you receive an individual comment, such as this one, it's on the comment wall of your profile. The only way to find out if someone responds to a comment you make in a  group, as far as I know, is to look at the subsequent comments in that group.

Ning does keep track of discussion replies, however. Anytime you participate in a discussion, subsequent replies will be found in "My Discussions", in the drop down menu from My Pages (the second link from the left at the very top of your page). If you replied to a discussion yesterday, today you can find that discussion and see if anyone else said something since.

Welcome, Kelli! Glad you could join us. :D

Please consider joining a group to meet people and talk about anything that's on your mind, Hang With Friends. You might also like Young Atheist Women, Parenting Little Heathens, Nexus Book Club, Sound Advice, Music Lovers, Philosophy, Psychology, Atheists Who love Science!, Women Atheists, Female Atheists, and possibly Feminist Atheists.

I also recommend Eco-Logical and Climate Concerns, since the climate is changing so drastically.

After you've searched for topics of interest in "Groups" above and in the "Forums", don't forget to look at recent activity which hides along the right margin of the page all the way at the bottom.

On a personal note, I've developed an animated gif technique, sort of “pull quote marries slideshow”. Samples are scattered across various groups, but you can find them easily by going to my twitter account. Each tweet has a link (after the description and before the hashtags) to a visually rich example here at Atheist Nexus. If you like them, please follow me
