"Luckily for me, my parents don't have cable, although I think my father albeit republican, rejects extreme absolutist views.
What I DO have to deal with is nearly 100 coworkers that mostly watch faux news. It's even written on the remote…"
"Watched this; Bill did a good job, but Marsha got a couple in and belied her extreme beliefs as being practical and protecting Americans from needless spending when the science isn't concrete and the benefits of changing American public policy…"
"Welcome Brandon! Glad you found us. I recently moved back north, but I did spend 8 years in central NC, so I can understand where you're coming from.
It does get easier, your brain is racing with all these new ways to look at things right now,…"
"A beauty! but then, I've never seen an ugly cat. Try to find out what sort of cat Rick would get along with. And use Feliway, to make them feel at home.
Long before Feliway-times I had striped tabby Ludwig who wouldn't let me sleep. He was…"
"One last thing, he's not a lap cat. He can be held for brief periods of time, but he generally doesn't like to be carried and he won't get in my big TV chair with me even though the arms are big enough for him to stand or even lay on.…"
"He doesn't appear to have any Siamese, he's a grey striped domestic shorthair, although he could have small amounts of anything in him, who knows.
I had heard about Siamese being vocal and I was hoping for a mute :)"
"I think another cat will stop your problem. In fact I've had the same problem years ago, and a second cat restored harmony at once. Just now your cat is very focussed on you; you only have to snore little louder and he'll…"
"Alas, none of my current batch are Siamese, but they are my favourite breed of cat, even though they meow frequently and loudly (though I've found they are so people oriented that they tend to do their meowing during the day when their staff…"
"My boy does that on occasion as well, & it seems he'll do what he'll do despite all the food, water, second cat, toys, etc. He also has an absolutely horrid meow so it's rather hard to take, but we just live with it."
Dude, I'm feeling bad for you; you're arguing with insane people. You keep posting up rational statements and the wingnuts just keep assaulting you with caps, bold, italics, and exclamation points. You have a lot of patience.
Hi Judd, nice to meet you :) I'm only living in Canandaigua temporarily, closer to Bristol really in the mini mountains. Lived most of my life in Michigan and North Dakota so I am still unfamiliar with the area here. It's beautiful though. I woke up with a Great Blue Heron in the yard yesterday.
Thanks Judd. Not posting just to post is a good idea, especially if one has nothing to say, but I will admit that I frequently post simple comments just to let people know that I did read their post. But obviously, some discussions are more interesting than others, too. :)
