I want to lay out the theory and then discuss implications for as much as I can handle, including sociopolitical, education, parenting, relationships both romantic and platonic, etc. Glad you sound interested in helping me out, I have been extremely busy the past, well, really long time, but I will finally have time starting next week to really plunge into it, so if you want to work with me, I will have plenty of time to work!
I am of course a naturalist, I don't know how you get to be an atheist if you are not (poorly I suppose). But as I said, I don't intend to spend so much time on the metaphysical basis for the theory. There is plenty of meat to deal with philosophically just in ethics, without having to build from the ground up as it were.
It does sound like an extra problem us being in different countries, but we'll see how it shapes up. As far as the actual theory goes, I was planning on writing a concise game plan for you and myself, I will let you know when it is ready. Otherwise, I don't know how you would find it except for the mostly random things I have posted and/or replied to here on Nexus. I did start a group called Ethical Theory, if you want to join that you can find some of what I've written fairly recently there. Otherwise just let me know how you would like to proceed.

It boils down to motivation, and this is tied up entirely with having a positive self-concept. Another way of putting this is that what one should do is that which will produce one’s highest sense of self/self-esteem. It could be called an ego ethics. Our egos (using the term loosely) are, essentially, our life-force, our motivation for self-value and, by extension, other-value. As such, self-esteem provides the foundation for, and both means and ultimate ends of, human values. All other values are means to the end. So yes, it is a consequentialist ethics (and I have my own way of subsuming deontology into consequentialism). It is also an internalist theory. And yes, I would agree with Carrier, but it seems that for the foreseeable future we will not be able to make perfectly clear moral calculations, at least not on my own theory. I believe I answer both how morality comes into existence and what it is.

I posted the bulk of this on another thread, but wanted to add some context separately.
I finally confronted my faith and embraced the fact of my atheism late last August, 2012. Days after I revealed my "epiphany" to a few friends who knew me from another message board, my sister died from Lou Gehrig's Disease (which pissed her off because she hated catching a disease from someone she never f---ed).

OK. I am venting. My mother died two weeks ago. She was a “god fearing christian.” Before her death she refused all medical treatment. She wanted to be left alone. She even refused to speak with my brother who is a methodist minister. He is a pip, let me tell you! This probably should not have shocked me as much as it did (especially since I am in Texas). I actually thought my coworkers were playing a joke on me because they know I am an atheist. Sadly, this was no joke. This actually happened.
