Hi John,

I grew up not far from St. Louis and travel through there every couple of months to visit my parents (Quincy Illinois). Maybe it's changed, but when I was growing up it was a tough place to be gay. Since I was Baptist (but not the son of a minister), I didn't think about being atheist, but now it seems that would be even tougher.

I hope that there has been progress and you are doing welll!
