I'm sick of seeing religious garbage everywhere I look. Everyday. Strangers spew their dogma as if they have every right to, yet I am told to bite my tongue to keep the peace? It's not fair and I refuse to do so. When I see or hear something that is even slightly religious in nature, I speak my mind. It's time for all non-believers to stop withholding their real feelings for fear of upsetting a loved one. I don't want to hurt family and friends by telling them that they are 'mistaken', however, if they can tell me simple things like "I'll pray for you", "god bless", "jesus loves you", ad infinitum - then I am going to respond. Why should I have to 'play nice'? People that spread their vile spooge without consequence or care are the ones that deserve the most backlash. Shamelessy espousing religious ideologies without a care in the world (or much of a clue what they are doing), these happy germ spreaders are the people that are going to insist that you baptize and brainwash and lie to children. If you continue to 'bite your tongue', this type of behavior will continue. Let somebody close to you know EXACTLY how you feel. You will feel better and maybe the word will get around that you ACTUALLY find some things that those around you say are offensive. Don't beat yourself up about it, YOU are the one that has been silenced all this time! It's time to gain a voice - and personal freedom. It is EXHILARATING!
