Noahs Ark

A bit about Noahs Ark. The reason it was built was because our loving God decided that everyone was evil. so he thought it would be a good idea to get rid of the lot by drowning them, but he wanted to save the animals. so he instructed Noah to build…

Only believe what I can see, and preferably, hold in my hand. Do not blindly accept anything unless you can back it up with tangible irrefutable proof. All living things have an equal right to be on this planet, not put there for humans to do what they like with. Don't believe fairy tales. If a human has a soul, then so does a worm. Also, remember, part of that peer pressure is $$$, the resource of humanity.

Peer pressure is incredibly powerful yet even more powerful is what you have been trained to think as a child.

John, to answer your question about religion in public schools it is generally prohibited.  It is difficult to know because I can't see behind closed doors.  Basically you do not teach religion in school especially by way of inferring it as  total truth.  If religion is taught it is generally acceptable if it is taught as showing cultural tradition, history and mixed with other types of religion.  We all know that it doesn't always happen that way.

Having chaplains in Australian schools is also very intrusive.  Ultimately religions profit from converting young children into believers of lies.  It is very abusive of powers and trust.

Wow you have an atheist prime minister, that is swell.  On the funny side though, the word atheist and minister just doesn't flow.  I will check out the link you gave me.  The reason I asked is because there are 19 states that continue to allow corporal punishment in U.S.A.  Ultimately I believe part of it has to do with religious belief imposed on children.

Greetings, John! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus lately. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.
