Any Permies here??

Permaculturists??  Anyone else here consider themselves a permie.  Sustainable culture, self sufficiency, organic healthy food from your own garden. . . I have had gardens most of my life and have always wanted to be able to grow just about all my own food.  I am still far from that goal but I am getting closer and closer to it each season.  Garden getting bigger.  Looking at getting some chickens.  Have played with growing corn, wheat, oats, barley and not just veggies.  Next I will try some…See More

About Me
Was a Mormon. Did the mission and the whole bit. I now believe in Integrity. I don't believe in a god, and I am not going to pretend on Sunday that I do!! This, here, now, is all we have. Make the most of it. Help the needy, ease suffering, fight for freedom. Why, because there is no "heaven" after this that everyone will be happy. No "justice" in some afterlife. All we have is what we can create here/now! good or bad, pretty or ugly, this now is our creation and the only thing we have. . .

Also a bit of a hippie. I love nature and am always trying to make the world around me a bit better. I have an organic garden that I grow too much food for me alone to eat. . .LOL!! And I am always working on making things work better or more efficient. My full size truck gets 27mph on the highway!!

I play with solar ovens, and have taught classes on how to build and use them. AZ is the state for solar cooking!!
