About Me
I'm kind of a loner, but I get along with most people and I enjoy the casual company of others.

Before here in San Antonio, Texas, I lived in Mexico City. That is where I resided the majority of my adult life. I was born in Illinois and raised in Southern California.

I am an active member of couchsurfing.org, and currently receive many visitors. Couchsurfers who visit always ask me what I do for fun, and lately it seems like the answer is: I host Couchsurfers.

That said, I'm pretty handy at the pool table, evidence, no doubt, of a misspent youth, so be warned. Ditto for the game of chess, except that might be evidence that my youth was not entirely misspent. I like live music but I don't go out clubbing or dancing.

I am a vegetarian, but not militant about other people's dietary preferences. I only bring it up because hosting or surfing often involves sharing meals.

Professionally, I am an entrepreneur, journalist, and writer. I tend to get along well with creative people. I incline toward progressive ideals and politics. I like to exercise and keep fit. I am a marathon runner.

Though I have been accused of being an eccentric and a miscreant, I consider myself well-grounded, honest, highly ethical, loyal, hard-working, and in the pursuit of the betterment of humanity.

I am a columnist for http://www.plazadearmastx.com. The column is El Mitote.

Hi Jeffrey, and welcome to this rational world of Internet atheism---a haven of truth and peace from the superstitions and fictional gods of the masses.

"Well-founded common sense helped by science leads to atheist wisdom."

We invite you to make good friends by joining the busy group "ORIGINS: Universe, Astronomy, Life, Earth, Humans, Religion, Gods, Atheism, Evolution, Darwin..." with 500 discussion topics and 2800 members.
