Well it was the only way I could get ahold of you answer you from the message you sent on FB. This "club" is rather difficult to navigate. I still don't have much of an idea where there is a discussion page or what. It's has some great ideas but I think it's laid out all wrong. The nazi bastards on face book are taking their sweet time about deciding if i'm a gonna stay or go. It's not the government here doing it, it's a direct message from face book. Hello Jean, I saw your message on my email about not hearing from me for a while and discovered this wonderful atheist site, and of course asked to join and now I am a member hear too. The face book nazis have put a block on my profile because they say someone reported me for not using my real name on my profile. It's been that way now for 4 or 5 days and I don't know if I'll ever get it back. I honestly didn't know that was a rule, but there a ton of rules there that most people there don't know about. I'm pretty sure it was one of the christers that whined. At any rate this looks like a much better group to hang with but here I don't get to torment any religious fanatics! When ya get this blog and shoot me a kite, We'll kick it around some!!!

Hi, Jean! I'm Toni, living in Greenville NC, out by the coast. I share your frustration with religion and conservatives--I'm convinced many are just "faking" it to fit in. I've lived in NC for 20 years and every year (usually during the hottest part of the summer) I say I'm getting out. But I'm still here. It's nice to meet a kindred soul (so to speak)!

Hi Jean - you're not alone in the area. My SO and I are in Maiden. We lived in Denver when I first moved here.

There is also another woman in Denver that I emailed a bit with in December 2008. We were going to try to get together after the new year, but it never materialized. JP and I have toyed with starting a small group out this way, as our work schedules make it so we can't really get to the Charlotte meetings anymore.

We're not here on the weekends, but maybe we can meet for coffee some weeknight.
