Answer me this...

Posted on December 22, 2009 at 10:47pm 2 Comments

I wrote this blog on Myspace, intended for christians to read. I have posted it here to help other newly converted atheists in their quest for helping other theists to realize that God, in the biblical term, cannot exist.

Below are a series of questions. These are questions that I had asked toward the end of my christianity, and was never given a good answer for any of them. I challenge other believers in a god to ask these questions as well. If these questions could be… Continue

Syn: The New Code for living a Moral Life *part 3*

Posted on December 19, 2009 at 1:23am 0 Comments

"Everything in moderation, consideration, and observation."

This is the last segment of this series, at least for now, and probably my favorite of the three. Sit back, read, and try to use these Syn's to help better ourselves.

Syn: Lust

Lust is probably the most common Syn amongst men. I'm sure women lust, but when it comes to men, well... we can be dogs about it. Lust is a feeling of sexual arousal, and the desire to act… Continue

Syn: The New Code for living a Moral Life *part 2*

"Everything in moderation, consideration, and observation."

In the last blog, Syn: The New Code for living a Moral Life, I explained how lying, coveting, and greed could be used to do good or used for wrong purposes. Also, I introduced the word 'Syn' and its meaning. Syn isn't a one way ticket to Hell, but rather Syn can be applied daily to improve your life and those around you. Times change, and with that change comes a new code of what is right… Continue

Syn: The New Code for living a Moral Life *part 1*

Posted on December 11, 2009 at 10:30am 0 Comments

"Everything in moderation." - I have no idea who said this.

But let me go one step further, and say, "Everything in moderation, consideration, and observation."

Atheists have a difficult time trying to convince theists that they do have a moral code, and that it has nothing to do with sacred scriptures or a god. I have met a few theists on myspace that almost 'get' us, but there will always be a little line they can't cross. One can never understand… Continue

Yeah, I have a little sympathy toward her, because I know how it feels to be the minority. However, where my disbelief in a god is based on facts and logic, her belief is based on a problematic Bible and a 'feeling'. Pardon me if I make…

Yeah, this was my main goal. I live in Indiana where christianity is the norm. I'm fairly knowledgeable of christianity, but not so much the other Abraham religions, so I mainly stick to what I excel in. I do believe these questions are a good…

I am an avid blogger on Myspace. I love expressing my views and sharing my thoughts with the world. The path that led me to being an atheist was stressful and exciting, but now that I'm secure in my non-belief, I am ready to help make this…

Jasyn Taylor commented on Courtney King's blog post 'Do Christian and Atheist relationships work?'
In all honesty, you would be better off perusing another guy, someone with similar beliefs (or lack thereof). Having a relationship is hard enough without throwing a messed up god into the picture. I'm not saying it can't work, but it may…

I view history as a learning tool. Past laws, societies, philosophy, and art can help us create a better future. Well, it should at least!

About Me
I have a love/hate relationship with life. Learning is my main goal.

I was a christian (pentecostal) for about 18 years before I realized that religion was really screwed up. My disbelief in a god doesn't come from science, but rather putting 2 and 2 together, rereading the Bible, and using logic. Now that I'm free, my life has improved greatly. I voice my opinion of how religion is killing us freely on Myspace, on which I have many blogs dedicated to inform others of how I view life, with my personal prospective. If I could break away from the torturous life of christianity, then I know others can.

It's time for our species to change, again, but this time we need to expand our minds instead of population.

....and a pleasure to meet you, as well, virtually speaking. I've been agnostic my entire life...I suppose, because I questioned everything, in my head mostly. And I just didn't buy into the nonsense of the religious world. It doesn't add up. But now I'm a hard-core atheist and have been for years now. I don't believe in any god and if there is a god I'll never bow. Glad to have you here on the nexus! Thanks for the comments and I hope you have a great weekend as well!
