Victoria's Governor spoke to the annual conference of Police Chaplains and said a lot of nonsense unfortunately. First he said that because church attendance is declining we should think of teaching ethics in schools and other educational institutions. Is there something to worship? Will we have cake stalls and car boot sales? Raise money for charity? Congratulate ourselves on our faithlessness? Or just have regular piss-ups?
I know conventional churches do more than just worship invisible beings but that is meant to be their main purpose.
