- I am an ER nurse in small town USA, where I work at what used to be a Catholic hospital until it got corporatized. We still recognize the Catholic roots to the history of the hospital. I was also raised in a Catholic family. So, I guess that makes me what we call a 'recovering Catholic.' I have been an Atheist since I can remember, but didn't really know until I was 14 what to call it.
