For those who don't have any freethinking groups in your area - check out http://www.Meetup.com and see if there are any atheist and agnostics groups. We use meetups all the time here in KC and our groups are anywhere from 5-20 people depending on the topic - movie, chat at coffee house, movie night or if it's by a larger group like Community of Reason or Heartland Humanists it can be 30-50 people easy. Also check http://www.yahoogroups.com - and search for a group in your area by keywords "your city/state atheist/agnostic" also go to http://www.googlegroups.com and do same search there too. Visit with a Unitarian Universalist church in your area - there are mostly freethinkers. Also check for "conscious evolution, spiritualists, wiccans, pagans, goddesses, etc" on Meetup and groups, subscribe and visit these groups regularly to get to know people, have something in print to give them with yuour infaromation, make a schedule (once or twice a month - you can be all by yourself in a coffee house :o) - put up a sign there "Atheist Meetup" and you'll be suprised poeple will notice and will strike conversations with you. You can this way recruit poeple "away" from spiritualist and also "paranormal" groups. There are a few around always. Many of these people are not religous.
