Not really sure. I only comment on it when asked directly. Actually, I'm lacking contact with secular people in Bowling Green (I know a few atheists, but they all live far away!), and that is why I sought a group to join.

Hey Tony. Thanks for the friend request. I just purchased, The Greatest Show on Earth by Dawkins and will start reading it after I finish a novel. Let me know what you think about. I'm sure it will be great. Dawkins always is! Take care.

Hey check out Meetup.com and see if there are any writing groups in your area. I am going to a "Walking in the World by Julia Cameron" writers meet up group in Bellevue west of Nashville tomorrow. W I T W seems like one of J.C.'s better efforts.

Bowling Green, KY, eh? I was just there several years ago!! I used to live in KY until around the age of 10...I miss it dreadfully. We lived in near Florence in Burlington. Ah, the memories...

Thanks for the add!

It is true that many people take the path of religion to lead them out of destructive life styles. It is also true that people can do the same thing without a reliance on faith (you just don't hear about it as much). You sound like a very nice you…

I thought it was utterly brilliant that he said Abbot's offer of a billion dollars for Hobart hospital was immoral! His refusal of such a ridiculous bribe iis one of the first moral acts I've ever seen from a politician. Clearly the man will have a…

I've seen posts about the 50 commandments of jeebus put out by xtians that cite chapter and verse and you really don't need a commentary to go along with them. Boy it sure does kill the whole GOP/Tea Party platform.

Anybody else read it? I love the basic premise, and being an atheist means I can appreciate the mythology and not get bent out of shape about the multiple deities.

Wyoming is better than the southeast, from what I've seen. It's still a solid red state, though. My big point was that there are no cities. The closest it has are Cheyenne and Casper, each of which are around 50,000 people. The entire state barely…

I was in Panama City this past weekend, but I didn't have any free time. I was there for my brother-in-law's pinning. He was promoted to Major in the Air Force. The promotion ceremony was full of God and Jesus references, and the invocation was give…
