Love Ayn Rand, too. I'm 40 (but fairly cool, REALLY!!?!).and in Atlanta. Just began reading Crime and Punishment and in the Intro there are references to a few writers who may've influenced Ayn. They are Russian, of course... and there's a Panova lady, too who had similar thoughts. Is there an Objectivist group in your college or military?

Hey Ian,
As yet another Ian who writes and is an atheist, I'll add my unsuperstitious good luck wishes to those already offered. And what is the worst butchering anyone has managed of our name? I gave someone my address in Tennessee and got back a letter addressed to "E.N." Some people deserve to believe in God.
Cheers, Ian in SC

Hi Ian,

I thought you might want to know about a new freethought group in your area.

Good luck whereever you're going. Keep your head down and your eyes open. Come back safe. Atheist Ians are a rare commodity, especially us writers.

Calumny - an untruthful statement about a person intended to damage their social standing/reputation so that no one will see the values they offer.

People who call Objectivists Idealogues- don't understand the values that are chosen to follow it and therefore misuse their own calumny.
