Hello Helly,

If you are (like you say) a fan of "clever movies" then you might like the following movies that I consider cool/clever/different/intense. That is if you have not already seen them.

Akira(Anime)
Ghost in the Shell(Anime)
Powder starring Sean Patrick Flanery
The Red Violin starring Samuel L. Jackson
The Naked Lunch starring Peter Weller
Memento starring Guy Pearce
Deceiver starring Tim Roth

Finally, here is IMO a very under-rated 2007 film entitled: "The Man From Earth" In it there is a scene where the main character John(David Lee Smith) colleagues ask him what famous historical people he met in his life. IMHO there is no finer moment in cinematic history, when he runs down the list(and their reaction). ;O)

Did I forget to mention that the movie is almost entirely shot in a living room with a fireplace? It is a very simple film, but highbrow, and uniquely clever.
