Just listened to Ep. 21 of the Ardent Atheist (my first episode) and I thought I would commend you all on the program. I was spellbound by the conversation and to say it was thought provoking is an understatement. While the topic was serious I truly enjoyed the humorous banter.
I look forward to listening to the preceding episodes and those that will follow. Thanks for the program.
Hi Heather, and welcome to this rational world of Internet atheism--- a haven of truth and peace from the superstitions and fictional god of the masses.

have a good one!
Gee, Heather, thanx 4 the response. It was just so surprising--and pleasant---to find someone on this site (having just signed up a few days ago) who lives where I spent most of my life. Unfortunately, I'm just not a big Texas fan. I almost croaked when the Lakers---my absolute favorite sports team---lost to Dallas in the recent playoffs. Same, when the Texas Rangers got to the World Series in October. At least a California team---the Giants---won. Texans seem to be real overbearing when it comes to their teams, especially the Dallas Cowboys who haven't won zip in years and years. Out here, football, conservatism & Christianity seem to be the order of the day.
If you ever choose to write again, feel free to use my e-mail address---62191@att.net---as I check my e-mail everyday, but probably won't being going to the AtheistNexus website regularly after a few days or weeks.
Thanks 4 replying. Ciao. Keith in Arlington
My parents both were born in Philadelphia and moved here, whoops, THERE---where you are---in the 30's. You seem as if you may be involved in the entertainment industry. The reason my parents moved to L.A. was that my father's brother, with the aid of the Mafia, was installed as head of a studio (Pathe?--I really don't remember) in L.A. My parents moved to L.A. too, and the brother got my father into the motion picture industry where he directed several of the Our Gang comedies and was an Ass't Director/Production Manager at MGM in MGM's heyday back in the 40's and 50's. Both my parents passed away in the 60's.
If you
Oh Wow! Excuse my enthusiasm, but I just signed on to this site. For the past 11 years, I've lived in Arlington, Texas, as the result of getting married (in 1999) to a lady who lived here and whose 2 daughters live here. In 2008, my wife passed away as the result of brain cancer. Before moving here, I lived in So. Calif. all my life with most of my childhood spent in and around Valley Village long before it was formally recognized the way it is now.
I went to Carpenter Avenue grammar school, No. Hollywood Jr. High (i.e., Walter Reed), and Hollywood high. I LONG FOR the SFV and Hollywood which I consider my REAL home even tho I've lived here for 11 years. The weather here SUCKS unless you like living in an oven from May thru Sept.-Oct. and freezing for a big chunk of Nov.-March. Yes, I know, one can always move back, but it's not that simple. And, being an atheist and social liberal in Texas almost puts you in the Pariah category. Whatever.
At any rate----"enough about me"----,I just got really excited seeing that someone from my old Laurel Canyon/Moorpark area signed on too.
Cheers. Keith.
