being an atheist doesn't make you automatically a good person. too many i meet think they're perfect just because they don't believe. >.<

Well we did it! Despite seemingly
homophobic issues from a few members of our group, diminishing funds and
last minute issues, the Greensboro Atheist Organization got a booth at
the LGBT pride festival here in Greensboro, NC. Yay! Our first outreach
booth- and it was a whopping success. It drew more participants from the
group than almost any other meeting and got people excited as well as

I've joined atheist forums all over the internet and even started my own local group of free thinkers to get together and have conversations that include logic and critical thinking, but I've started to notice something. When I started the Greensboro Atheist Meetup I was, I'll admit, a little manic. I had the energetic urge to get out into the world, make a difference, and bring people together.
