- I was raised apostolic/pentecostal. Yeah, the weird folks who do not cut their hair...wear pants (the women)...no makeup...no jewelry...usually borderline psychotics. lol
I finally broke away a few years ago...didn't make a clean break until this past September. It was a very difficult road out of fundamentalism...but I've made it.
Now, I'm in college...beginning my second year as a Biology major. I love every second of it! I plan on applying to medical school toward the end of my undergraduate stint.
Random things about me:
Had (and still get small jobs) jobs in graphic design.
I paint, draw, and occasionally sculpt.
I enjoy writing tremendously! Sometimes, the only want I can express myself is on paper...well, most of the time actually. lol I'm very opinionated on paper...just ask my first year English professors! I gave them fits...lol
I desire to move to Michigan next year...transfer to MSU. I want this so badly...I hope it happens!
I have a daughter who my whole world revolves around! :)

I'm also the media and communications consultant for the forthcoming "Rise of Atheism" Global Atheist Convention to be held in Melbourne in March 2010. The Convention is being organized jointly by Atheist Alliance International and the Atheist Foundation of Australia.
I wonder if you could let your members know that tickets for the convention are now available online at the Convention website. We are expecting nearly 3,000 delegates, so this convention is going to be huge.
Confirmed speakers include: Richard Dawkins, AC Grayling, PZ Myers, Dan Barker, Peter Singer, Taslima Nasrin and many more.
Anything you can do to help us get the word out would be greatly appreciated.
