Magnus Carlsen, Fashion Model

So the highest rated player in the world, 19-year old Magnus Carlsen of Norway, has launched a career on the catwalk.  http://susanpolgar.blogspot.com/2010/07/fashion-model-magnus-carlsen.html There is no reason, of course, that chess players cannot excel in other fields.Andre Danican Philidor was a composer   Vassily Smyslov had a wonderful baritone voice, but failed in an audition with the Moscow Opera, …See More

Hi George! As well as hosting the Aussie/Kiwi group here on Nexus, I'm also the media and communications consultant for the forthcoming "Rise of Atheism" Global Atheist Convention to be held in Melbourne in March 2010. The Convention is being organized jointly by Atheist Alliance International and the Atheist Foundation of Australia.

I wonder if you could let your Minnesota Atheists know that tickets for the convention are now available online at the Convention website. We are expecting nearly 3,000 delegates, so this convention is going to be huge.

Confirmed speakers include: Richard Dawkins, AC Grayling, PZ Myers, Dan Barker, Peter Singer, Taslima Nasrin and many more.

Anything you can do to help us get the word out would be greatly appreciated.

Hope we might see you in Melbourne!

Thank you for your reply yesterday. I'm a bit tied up at the moment and I need time to think anyway but I will respond during the course of the weekend.

Hi, George

Joined less than a week ago, and am looking forward to some interesting discussions.

Just stopped by to see what's new and saw that you're online, so I thought I'd say Hello!

Did you found this group?

Thank you for your excellent posting in the abortion debate. You did a much better job than I of remaining calm and objective.

Hey George,

I have to give you a sincere thank you for your response on the Abortion discussion in the forums. If you lived closer, I would take you out for dinner and pick your brains. You stated what has been churning around in my head far better than I could have, and I appreciate it.
