"Before I wrote that paper I hadn't really thought too much about other atheists. But since reading everything I did and writing it, it made me want to find and learn more about being an atheist. I want to learn much more than I know."
"Had a wonderful time at Lake Hypatia this year. The food was great, the lectures were great and the people were awesome. I leave this Sunday, 8 July, 2012 for a long distance motorcycle ride to Alaska. Contacted the Anchorage…"
"Hey everyone! Leaving here on Friday afternoon heading to Lake Hypatia so when you see a black man pull up on a black Honda Goldwing, don't trip cause it's just me. Looking forward to meeting everyone and will be camping…"
"Excellent, see you there, Grant! As for everyone else, early registration ends in just three days, so get on it. Also, we're in the process of revamping our facebook page, so come check that out as well!"
Hi George! I'm Kris. As well as hosting the Aussie/Kiwi group here on Nexus. I'm also the media and communications consultant for the forthcoming "Rise of Atheism" Global Atheist Convention to be held in Melbourne in March 2010. The Convention is being organized jointly by Atheist Alliance International and the Atheist Foundation of Australia.
I wonder if you could let your Alabama atheists know that tickets for the convention are now available online at the Convention website. We are expecting nearly 3,000 delegates, so this convention is going to be huge.
Confirmed speakers include: Richard Dawkins, AC Grayling, PZ Myers, Dan Barker, Peter Singer, Taslima Nasrin and many more.
Anything you can do to help us get the word out would be greatly appreciated.
Heya George, would you mind putting a link (and maybe a the logo for) my local atheist group on the Alabama Atheists profile you have? The site is www.meetup.com/EtowahRationalists. There's a logo uploaded on my profile. Thanks!
To my knowledge I am the only atheist in Hamilton. I would hazard a guess that we're a rare breed in Alabama period. Though, who knows, maybe not as rare as we think. It defiantly would be interesting if more found this site.
