Vegans and Magical Thinking about animals

Up, Up, And Away To That Mystical, Mythical World of Wooby Gael R. MurphyWhere is this mythical land of woo,  That my vegan friends keep inviting me to?  I've searched everywhere, every river and valley.  I've searched every map from both Rand and McNally.  For that whimsical land where one's thoughts make a change, Where thinking good thoughts cures a dog of the mange.  It sounds oh, so lovely, fantastic, and mystical,  Where magic is real and our dreams are realistical.  I've searched high…See More

Poem - Osama Bin Ladin

Osama Bin Laden

by Gael R. Murphy

Osama Bin Laden,

May his tribe reform.

Began to hate Yanks,

When we fought Desert Storm.

We stationed our troops,

In the deserts of Saudi,

And our female recruits,

Were immodest and rowdy.

They refused to wear burquas,

From their heads to their towses,

And instead of Mohammed,

They liked Jesus and Moses.…

Polk County - Religious bigotry, government sponsored prayer, and the Ku Klux Klan

Intelligent people should not be surprised that the Polk County School Board has tried to circumvent the Constitution by having a Protestant minister recite a prayer invocation before the School Board Meeting is called to order, rather than, as in the past, praying after the meeting has begun.  They had been warned of possible lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of this government sponsored prayer.  The School Board thought that the prayer, if said before the meeting…

Hello Dogly. Would you consider putting your Mallard ducklings discussion in my Birds group? I think we would love to discuss your care for the ducklings. Anyways just ignore Napoleon, I'm sure he didn't mean to distress you with his comment.

Dogly, I deleted your discussion in Humane Atheists because it looks like you tried to copy one of you comments into it, and it was all messed up -- the formatting and stuff like that. Really bad. Maybe just repost as a new post with just text.

Dogly, I think you should read Kieth's other blog. I think Kieth is manipulating or blurring the edges of his feelings into what he thinks an atheist is and what a theist is. He is a young dude and it seems he is singing cumbia (sp) or something. (Can't everybody just get along, idea).
