I've gotten into alot of research regarding the origins of human religious and spiritual beliefs recently Things point strongly to the idea that our openness to accepting belief structures like religions and afterlives/souls is evolutionary. Michigan passed a Bill earlier this month stating that bullying in school is now acceptable "if their act of harassment on another young person was done because of 'deep moral conviction' or 'religious belief.'
