Eric Sell commented on The Nerd's photo
The level of stupidity from FAITH is just almost too good to be real: FAITH=stupid. I want to say this looks like a contrived thread (intelligently designed, if you will) to make some "everyman" of faith out to be an imbecile...but only…

Eric Sell commented on Casey Wollberg's blog post 'Atheist vs. Agnostic'
Its very good to see the above dialogue! A good friend of mine has often said "all they have to do is look it (the word agnostic) up in the dictionary!" People who call themselves agnostic (in the now common and incorrect sense of the…

Eric Sell replied to Jennifer E.'s discussion 'Abstinence culture may fuel early trips to the altar' in the group Atheist News
Exactly...it is a natural part of being human. And it is this very abstinence philosophy in, specifically the Catholic church, that leads to pedophile priests! They go to seminary at 16 or so and then by 30 they're set up for major sexual…

Feel the moral superiority of Christianity! Oh, and what about that bit about "thou shalt not steal"?

Eric Sell replied to Lord Scarab's discussion 'Even more bus ads' in the group Atheist News
I agree with that. From what I've read of the super-defensive stance the religious always take to these kinds of ads, or billboards, its like in the back of their minds they know their faith is fragile as fall leaves and any wind of doubt might…

Eric Sell replied to moJoe's discussion 'Santeria priest in Texas can resume goat sacrifices' in the group Atheist News
I don't know anything about what these Santerias believe, but I rather think the fellow has a point about religious freedom (even though, of course, animal sacrifice is about as hardcore "ancient mystical religion" as you can get). I…

The Point

The point of my profile pic is that...well, mainly I couldn't find the pic of me I wanted. But, other than that lame reason, I chose this alternate because of the prominence of the word THINK. After all, isn't that the crux of the issue? Thinking (or not) is really the foundation of it all. The funny thing is that the Bible is right: ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

If you THINK
