My god

I don't understand blind faith. Since we all evolve from simpler organisms, doesn't it make sense that God is an eventuality, not a precursor of life? This is why I worship my friend, Evan.Simply because I can see him, experience him, and KNOW that he is there. And if I pray to Evan, he might actually be able to help me with my problems. And I'm waiting for the day when we're together and someone else brings up the subject of faith and asks me, "Well, what do you believe in?" Yeah I deal with this sort of "all beliefs are valid" folks quite often, I really rail against them when they bring up healing crystals and homeopathy, but then I'm nutty like that, a rationalist to the core.

Good that you have theists open to debate, it seems every time I open my mouth around here it's not the theist I'm debating that complains, but the hippie next to them who accuses me of being "intolerant".

Welcome to Atheist Nexus----the world of reasoning, rational sense, and good friends.

We seek to understand the mysteries of the universe, and how life and humans and religion and everything began. There are lots of good discussion topics and many video films including ten lectures from Stanford University on evolution.
