What have stone dildos have to do with little girls and the matter they're made of? Holy mother of Jesus! What world are we into? (Please ignore my religious references, I just happen to love them.)

About Me
'Ello. Elles is about to do her bio in third person, but one needn't worry for she is not schizophrenic.

Elles first discovered the wonder of skepticism when she first picked up a copy of The Skeptical Inquirer in a library and since then has aspired to be a strong defender of reason. She first became interested in the evolution/creation debate when she encountered Answersingenesis.org and, amazingly, retained her faith in humanity after realizing how many people took Ken Ham seriously until she entered high school. Since then, she has started a blog, Splendid Elles, to express herself whenever she feels like throwing things and screaming in frustration at scientific ignorance and general lack of thought. Elles is currently fifteen, but in the future she thinks she’ll probably go into some field in science but doesn’t know which one because she likes them all too much. When she’s not exposing woo-woo, she reads books, watches an excessive amount of science fiction, and has no fashion sense beyond differentiating between clothing which covers up one’s upper body and clothing which covers up one’s lower body.

Elles writes for Teen Skepchick (http://skepchick.org/teen/) and Splendid Elles (http://splendidelles.wordpress.com/)

I Can't Write

I can't write.

Oh yes, I do love writing. I do have loads of people tell me that I write well. I listen to them sing high praise for my word-smithing and I take pride in nearly every post for the simple "talent" of making words flow from my fingers.

I'll link all my friends when I feel I've written something especially exemplary of my "talent" and I'll take a little bit more pride...

But then I go and read something by somebody truly masterful of language. I'll be swept up in their intoxicati… Continue

Evil Genius Plan for the Promotion of Science and Reason

Okay, this is subtle, genius, detailed, thorough, and therefore long.

I take college classes at Community College of Denver which shares the campus with University of Colorado Denver and Metropolitan State College of Denver. MSCD has an Atheist group which I help out a lot.

I'm a non-officer member with a title of something like "Honourary High School Genius".

Anyway, there's also a "Crypto-'Science' Society" which does things with Bigfoot and shit. They also always sponsor MUFON, the Mutual… Continue

2 am, I already write for two blogs, why am I doing this?

Maybe I'm doing this just to see how I like it? Maybe because I've fallen madly in love with writing and wish to waltz with it to the ends of this spheroid object we call Earth? But why here? If I want to express myself, well, that's what one of the two blogs I write for is for...

He was great wasn't he? Sad thing is, as much of a walking cliche as he is, those people very much exist. Every movement, every word out of their mouths is designed to look like the very cliche they're emulating.

I'm trying to defend the right-to-the-burqa in France, I really am. But then stories like this really does leave me wishing we could outlaw an entire religion.
