Profile Information

About Me: Retired Bookkeeper, pet-sitter, chorus girl. I was raised as a casual believer, but figured out when I was in my mid-20s that the universe is vast, this planet is less than a grain of sand, and that nobody was going to take care of me but myself. It was the most liberating experience I've ever had...like feeling a 100lb bag of fertilizer had fallen off my shoulders. I am a member of FFRF, and enjoy driving fundamentalists crazy.

I love reading, especially Golden Age SF...I loved Robert and Ginny Heinlein, and miss them both terribly. I also love Anne McCaffrey for creating a world without religion, and Mercedes Lackey for creating a country whose only motto is, "There IS no 'One True Way.' "

I'm also a major cat fan, but am catless right now, so I have to go to www.icanhascheezburger for my daily furry, purry fix. (I really love Basement Cat...the polar opposite of Ceiling Cat) I get a LOT of laughs out of the LOLcats Bible Project ... translating the buybull into LOLspeak. Akshuly, I love all animals, but CATS RULE!

PS: That B&W photo of me was taken in 1958 when I really was a chorus girl in Holiday On Ice...had more wild times with that show than you can imagine.
