Edward Beardsley replied to Jennifer W's discussion Do you believe Jesus existed?
"I suggest anyone with any shred of doubt about the Jesus of the New Testament being a mishmash of centuries old pagan mythology read "The Jesus Mysteries" by Tim Freke and Peter Gandy."

ORIGINS: UNIVERSE, LIFE, HUMANKIND, AND DARWIN

We debate origins of the Universe, life, Earth, humans, religion, atheism, using common sense, evolution, cosmology, geology, archaeology, and other sciences, to repel biblical creationism and other religious beliefs.

Parallel Worlds and the Multiverse

As a strong atheist I must confess a weakness for cosmic speculation on such things as the nature, {or existance}, of Time-which I see as a construct which must extent infinitely in the past and the future. There has always been matter and energy and they will exist forever. In addition, I fancy the unprovable,(at present), concepts of parallel and/or multiple universes. If any of you would like to blog about these topics, I would love to here from you.

Welcome to Atheist Nexus and the busy discussion group ORIGINS.
I too like orchestral classical music: symphonies and concertos top the list. For a couple of decades I enjoyed chess but have not played for many years now, being just too busy on other matters---chiefly academic research into archaeology and meteorology, while not forgetting the intellectual challenge that is atheism.

That's a sensible dachshund! Sometimes it feels that we are outnumbered, especially late at night when we are trying to sleep and a thundering horde of cats gallumps through the house.
