i am glad to hear you are feeling better! i know that chicken pox, although a /seemingly/ minor disease, can nevertheless be very difficult and cause much misery. i had it (age 14), my doctor said it was the worst case he had ever seen (and he was none too young ! - wow. 'twas indeed a bad case, after the high fever/associated delerium went away, luckily all i have left are scars. hopefully not brain damage ;D /smiles/
so very glad to hear you are feeling better. in general it seems that the older a person is when infected with varicella, the worse is his suffering, for reasons i do not understand (although would like to!)
also, i think it is a myth that one can strictly only have this disease once. i believe there are some exceptions to this rule, such as when contracts and extremely mild strain of it at a very young age, during which illness/signs/symptoms are extremely minimal; to when, years later, a much older organism may contract a severe case of the disease.
although, i suppose this is a discussion for the infectious disease forumso i wil be quiet now :)
as for being lucky enough to have plane tickets to Mumbai or elsewhere on the subcontinent, it looks now that I shall not be so fortunate until at *least* next year. so far away....
this august, i must travel to Seoul; after that, i shall endeavor to fly to "Incredible India," as those ubuiquitous English commercials say. Am very much looking forward to it! I'll be in New York before I go to Seoul, and then next January maybe in Hong Kong or Singapore and very hopefully Bangkok (LOVE spicy food!) :)
tell me what is new w/ you. you can send me an email also not on this forum if you want but at ketzerischst

Glad to hear the fever has abated, now it should be a case of making sure the itchy bumps don't drive you to distraction or cause a boil. I hope your family has not caught it from you, but on the bright side, if your children are young, usually they do not have nearly so bad as of a case as we adults do.
Luckily!
Hope you feel better =)
