I hate you are having that feeling, and I know it all too well. I still go thru it and mine are 8 and 9. Single people rarely adapt around children. I have to miss out on adult things for lack of a babysitter. To be honest I really dont like to have others watch my kids often, I am the momma. I so hate to tell you but until they are grown, you have no freedom unless you can find you another parent that wants to play....

She is one of the ones that she is afraid her friends might find out. I don't know if she agrees with anything about me actually. She keeps her thoughts and ideas to herself mainly. Very non expressive. I agree with you with being agnostic. I am all for that all the way. I think you know me, when I think one way or believe in this or that, I express myself and I don't give a rat's ass who agrees or disagrees with me. I feel what I feel and that is the way it is going to be. If you don't agree with me, fine, don't. If you do agree you'll come out better in the future, lmao.

Yeah, there are a lot more than you think. There are a lot that won't admit it because they are afraid what their friends might think, which is ridiculous. I just hate the religions (just about all of them) that push their religion on you or are hypocrites. We are both very close to one that is a hypocrite... But anyways, yeah, it is good to see this going on. I haven't gotten to deep into it, but I am working on it.

Oh and about home schooling.....Kids need to socialize not only for inter personal skills but also to be exposed to germs. You giving them a home that is school positive and being involved in their public school homework gives them the chance to see how elite they are but also offers them competition, but it is not real competition for the reason your kid is prob one of the few that is made to take advantage of the opportunity that is a formal education. Besides momma, you need to have you time back so you can pursue mental growth for yourself.

My lilins do struggle with being different. I have chosen to tell them that they can only speak of being Atheist if they are prepared to defend why they say they are.I try to get them to be proud of being different as well. I also know that the majority of kids at school have a x-ian upbringing so I tell the kids to try to get along even if thats keeping how special we are a secret till they are able to understand.

I am always looking for an Atheist family we can associate with, but I have seriously considered giving up. This area is so closed minded. Me and my lilins have our own scientific world we retreat to and it works.

My kids are at the prime of thinking and r so influential. They are 7 and 8. It starts with Santa and working towards Jesus, my poor babies have kept the no Santa or Jesus secret from class mates for years lmao. I live in a very church funded town and I really would love to meet with other A's to let our children socialize,I want to make a science class for lilins.... lady its early and I am rambling.

I got lucky to have parents that as long as I can make a living and my kids r happy, they do not delve any deeper in my business.My bf on the other hand has a preachers daughter for a momma and some strict, hard core grand parents. *shudders*
