"This is true. I imagine being a gay, black atheist in Mississippi would be the worst combination for a person. You gotta love our bigoted, hypocritical and somewhat racist state."

phlegmatic cynic replied to vjack's discussion Tips for Atheists New to Mississippi in the group Mississippi Atheists
"Being an atheist in Mississippi is probably worse than being gay in Mississippi. With that being said, it really depends on the type of person you are. As we all know, atheism simply means we are without theism and choose to not believe in god.…"

Hi
Welcome to Atheist Nexus with its 8300+ good friends.
Perhaps try joining groups like the busy discussion group “Origins: Universe, Life, Humans, Evolution, Religion.....”.
I have been running a discussion there (72 posts) about being "Proud to be Atheist" because we should all be inwardly proud (and those who can, outwardly loudly proud),
seeing that atheists and humanists hold the intellectual high ground over the pathetic beliefs of the superstitious god grovellers in Mississippi and elsewhere enslaved by the fictions of narrow-minded clergy who control their brains and lives.
