"As she came up to pay the rent, our so very extremely devout ex-basement suite Mrs. tenant asked if my mother-in-law knew jezuzz before she died, & I kind of rudely said the guy didn't exist & we don't believe the nonsense. She…"

Sartre Was Right, But Hell Sometimes Has an Endearing Quality

So, awhile back I’m sitting at a booth for the place I work at a largish regional conference. I’m the last guy on the planet that you want to be selling anything (trust me!), but the others are busy with an event of their own. Anyway, I’m sitting at the booth answering questions, handing out stuff, and just generally putting…See More

The Trouble With Deepak.

Deepak Chopra wants something from atheists. I somehow doubt he knows what that is anymore than the rest of us do, but his efforts to feign dialogue with unbelievers are among the creepier things one can encounter on the net. If you’re not careful you may encounter his particular brand of word salad on the #atheism hashtag at twitter, but don’t try too hard to make sense of his posts. That way lies madness!Read the full article here:…See More

A Damnable Dilemma

Seems like I’m always reading (or hearing) that atheists are just as bad as religious folks. This theme has a few funny variants! Pushy atheists are just as bad as pushy  believers, or maybe they are just as closed minded as fundamentalists. Atheists who force their views on others are just as obnoxious as…See More

An Uncommon Pitch Line

Have a look at the pitch line on this movie. “In the chaos of war, peace can only come from within.” What’s odd about that, you may ask? It is after all a story about a soldier and the psychiatrist who has been assigned to help him recover from Shell Shock. So, the line makes a lot of sense right? Well, yes it does...Read more about it here: http://northierthanthou.com/2014/10/20/an-uncommon-pitch-line/See More

Please consider joining a group to meet people and talk about anything that's on your mind, Hang With Friends. You might also like Atheist Teachers, BloggersEven Heathens Love Their Pets! and Atheist Ailurophiles.

I also recommend Eco-Logical and Climate Concerns, since the climate is changing so drastically in Alaska and elsewhere.

After you've searched for topics of interest in "Groups" above and in the "Forums", don't forget to look at recent activity which hides along the right margin of the page all the way at the bottom.

We invite you to make good friends by joining the busy group "ORIGINS: Universe, Astronomy, Life, Earth, Humans, Religion, Gods, Atheism, Evolution, Darwin..." with 700 discussion topics and 3500 members.
