Psychopaths

To believe in, pray for and want the rapture to come (as most Christians do) is to believe in, pray for and want the torture and death of your fellow humans. There are many non-christians in the world and any half way sensible person will know that they won't ALL be converted, EVER. So knowing this and still wanting the rapture to come is SICK! What makes Christians different from any other psychopath? (Just thought I'd share this thought.)See More

Pledge of Allegiance - My Way

This is my version of the Pledge of Allegiance."I pledge allegiance to the Constitution of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it was written, one nation, under the laws of said document, indivisible, where liberty and justice should be for all."After all, the flag is just a symbol of the nation. It's the constitution that makes the nation what it is (or should be). I mean, even when you join the military you are vowing to defend the Constitution, not the flag. If you…See More

Just a quick thought about the U.S. being a Christian nation

Claiming the U.S. is a Christian nation because the founders were Christian and it was founded on Christian values is like saying it's a white nation because the founders were white and it was founded on white values. The latter of the two statements is insulting to every citizen of another race and the first is insulting to everyone of another religion. It gives the impression that they are second class citizens.See More

I Was Dead Once

Posted on December 21, 2009 at 8:35am 8 Comments

I was dead once. No, there was no bright light. No pearly gates. No exquisite pleasure or eternal suffering. No heaven or hell. There was only unknowing blackness. No pain, no pleasure, no awareness. It was simply dark and I neither was aware of it nor did I care about it. I knew nothing. I felt nothing and I was not afraid. Nor do I fear death now. Oh yes, I want to live. I want to live a long, healthy and happy life. I love life and I love living it, but when my time comes I won’t be afraid.… Continue
